Benjamin ELLSWORTH's 3rd (?) wife, Elizabeth BULLARD, was born Elizabeth GILCHRIST, dau of Archibald GILCHRIST who was a Loyalist. Elizabeth was born in S. Crosby in 1810 and married our Daniel BULLARD (of Bastard Twp., son of Josiah Bullard of Plum Hollow) on 14 NOV 1827. Daniel died in 1867 in Knox Co., Illinois and is buried near Gilson, IL.
Daniel and Elizabeth followed the Mormon missionaries out of Leeds Co. in 1837, joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and eventually ending up at Nauvoo, IL when the temple was being built in the 1840's.
Elizabeth GILCHRIST BULLARD ELLSWORTH died in Taylor Co., Iowa on 18 MAR 1889.
You can find a lot on these families in the LDS Family History Center in Salt Lake or by requesting a TIB search on them thru your local FHC.
I am not LDS but have done a lot of research on Daniel BULLARD for distant cousins as my late husb is desc from his sister Anna BULLARD PARISH of Plum Hollow. And the Asa LANDON's (both Sr. and Jr.) are also his ancestors.
