HI Lorne

I have been on this site all morning looking and yes it is very labour
intensive since we don't have high speed here. I am looking for the name
McEntire or various spelling. My McEntire married a Stewart and another one
married a Spicer.

Janine

Hi Janine,
I know it's labour intensive and takes a bit of getting used to but you may
look at the complete 1901 census for Crosby North online. The records are in
the original handwriting and you have to do your searching page by page.
Actually it's fun when you get used to it.

Click on www.archives.ca/02/02012202_e.html
Select Ontario
Geographic Location: Select Leeds
Number of References: Select Max to include Leeds South and North Crosby.
Schedules 1 for North Crosby will be 56,58,60,and 62. (includes all the
names)
Schedules 1 include several pages for each of the numbers I've listed and
you may have to look at all the pages.

If you need further help, please ask.

I notice one of the families you included in your first posting, John
Stewart and Mahala Spicer, may be found in the 1881 census in Georgetown,
Halton, Ontario.
The listing states John was 49 and born in Scotland, Mahala 44 and born on
Ontario.
Comments ?

Good Luck!!
