My Wood-Howard connection is
John Land WOOD (1817-1893, Maitland), son of Solomon WOOD Sr. and Anna
LAKINS of Augusta twp., married 23 Dec1845 to Elizabeth HOWARD (1827-1906),
daughter of James HOWARD and Elizabeth HECK, d/o Samuel HECK?
(No siblings listed for ELIZABETH yet but she was said to be the eldest d/o
James , a niece of Judge BURRITT and a cousin of Mrs. VAN HORNE, wife of Sir
William VAN HORNE.)
Children:
Guy Carleton Brock WOOD, b 29 May 1848 (lived later in Toronto.)
Malcolm McCollom WOOD, b. 18 Sept 1850 (lived later in Port Hope, ON)
Sylvester WOOD, b. 20 Aug 1852
Clegg Hurlburt WOOD , b 25 July 1854 (possibly lived Toronto, ON)
Charlotte W. WOOD (may have lived in Port Hope as well.)
Sarah WOOD married ? SNIDER
Margaret Adelaide WOOD, died 15 Feb 1860 aged 1 yr (buried in old part
Maynard cemetery)
Rugulus Wheeler WOOD b. 20 Oct 1860
& possibly one other son.
