Sent to Patrick on Wood List but also may help someone here:

Also this from in my "packrat pile"...may be of use to someone:
From the Grenville County Historical Society to M.C-B , 18 August 1987:
A copy of a memorial # 307 of the registration ( 23 March 1838 ) of the
will ( made 8 Sept 1837) of one JOHN WOOD of Augusta Twp, Grenville County.
His wife was Jane who was bequeathed the front of the east half for her
life; son William Wood received the rear half of the farm on which John
resided, viz: NE 1/4 Lot 23, Con 4, Augusta. The southeast quarter went to
John's son, Thomas Wood. If Thomas were to die without heirs, this piece was
to go to John's youngest son, Charles. If Charles , in turn, died without
heirs, the property was to be disposed of among "all my children- Robert,
James, William , and my three daughters, Jane, Eliza, and Mary Ann."
[An Anthony Wood had signed as witness and so I include it here. M.C-B.]
