I have been reading all the postings about the Wood/Woods families hoping
for a clue that might help me in my search for my Woods ancestors, but I
haven't seen any relevant information. My gr.gr.grandfather was Berillus
Woods who first appeared in Yonge Twp. when he married Sara Sheldon of
Bastard Twp. on April 23, 1844. The couple lived in the Plum Hollow area
and had eight children: Mariam, Hiram, Elinor, Delorma, Caroline, Polly,
Arsula and Margaret. Berillus and his son, Hiram died in August of 1866
after eating poisonous mushrooms. To date I have found no information about
Berillus Woods' parents or siblings. I have information on all of the
children in this family except Miriam and Arsula. Any suggestions would be
welcomed.
