Hi Wilma,
I am curious to know what the term "relict of David Dempster" refers to. I
am unfamiliar with this term. I am researching my Dempster relations from
the Leeds area, some of whom may have left the area to go west.
Thanks.

Hi Barb
Can I impose on you to check something else out for me. I have been looking
for a widow, Eliza Jane Powell, who might have died at Moose Jaw.
This morning I decided to go back to the cemetery transcript to take another
look. This time I looked under her maiden name "Smith".
I found in Lot 7 Block 22 Grave 1 SMITH Eliza J. born 17 Mar 1835 died 6 Mar
1909, relict of David Dempster, Lot purchased by Jacob R. Smith Dec 12,
1901. This is right where I found Eliza's daughter, Nina Maude]1872-1906]
& her husband Arthur Herbert Smith [1870 - 24 Dec 1920] & son Willard buried
in Lot 6 Block 22, graves 6, 7, 8 in the Old Moose Jaw Cemetery.
I have had no information before that this Eliza Jane "Smith" Powell had
remarried. I found her on the 1901 census living with her daughter Nina &
her husband, Arthur H. Smith.
It seems the pieces of the family puzzle are falling into place for me. I
would like to maybe be able to confirm that I found the correct person
before getting too excited. Now I wish the widow Margaret Jane Gilmour
would surface.
Thanks for your time
Wilma
p.s.
Has it warmed up there yet? If it has there might be hope for us here in
Brandon.
