Hi Margaret,

Ellen Ivy's parents were John Ivy and Hannah Donoghue. She had a brother, John Ivy who married Elezabeth O'Donnell. Apparently, her brother John Ivy was the first postmaster of the village of Ivy Lea and this village was named after him, no proof of this. I don't know if this is the same family.

Ellen Ivy b. May 5, 1843, married John Waters, my great grandfather.

I have Murphy, Waters, and Brady in my direct line. Also my uncle John Waters married Anna Kenny, and have pictures of her and her brother. They are from South Crosby county of Leeds, town of Elgin on Davis Lock rd.
