Lorna:

Bless you (and other genial and patient L-G listers) twice over. I only have
had William Thomas Janson in the 1851 Darling census (Lanark County), and
his letters to the government from there. He once wrote (in the early 1850s
from Darling) that he and his wife had 10 children, and your message
identifies the name of his wife and some of the kids. High mortality in that
family, it seems. He was actually born in London, England, and is ultimately
far more of a L-G teacher and resident than of Lanark. He's really one of
your own.

Stay tuned: if Larry Boswell agrees, I'll transcribe one of Janson's Harlem
letters for the 'list'.

You L-G folks have done a lot to make my day!!!

Max

Hi;
I have found William T Janson in the 1871 census of Bastard Township on page
22 lines 49 & 50 and pagr 23 lines 1,2,374

William T Janson age 52 born Ontario Baptist Teacher living on Lot 15
Con. 5
his wife Margaret age 48
Margaret age 22
John H age 13
Elizabeth age 11
Isabella age 4

I looked in some of the cemeteries in the area and did not find any Janson
burials.

Lorna
