Hi List,
We also offer a digital reproduction of the History of Leeds and
Grenville from 1749 to 1879, by Leavitte on CD through our online
catalogue on our web site (address in my sig. line) should anyone be
interested. The digital version is fully computer searchable which
can be a great help when you need to find a name somewhere in the book.

We have also placed a "sampler" containing pages from the book on
the downloads page of our website. Look for the catalogue number
CA0181. The sampler includes all the pages of the index which, in
turn, gives a list of the subjects of the included biographies.

One thing to remember with biographies is that they frequently
contain information about "married in" family members which is not
obvious from the name of the bio's subject. This is where the
computer search capability comes into it's own! (In the book that is
- not, unfortunately, in the sampler.)
