hi Patrick, hope you see this, Christine, i may have my answer, what do you think? my cousin who first put this post on here is following,
what source lists seven men under the category of "Militia of Upper Canada," as recipients of Military General Service Medals for service at either Crysler's Farm, or Chateauguay and what are their names please?
The 1st Grenville Regiment; The 2nd Grenville Regiment; and the 1st Leeds were among 6 different Militia Regiments of Upper Canada listed, what are the other 3 Regiments and where/what book does it mentions the farm please?.
i have downloaded "History of Leeds & Grenville", but can not locate "Leeds & Grenville, their first two hundred years" , where is this located please? by Ruth McKenzie , is it online?

Burritt is found on pg 36,37,39,49 and
258-stephen burritt b. 1759 who is my 3rd great grand uncle

37 the volunteer incorp. Militia battalion 3 engagements lieutenant henry
burritt 2nd grenville #34, he was captain 1823 pg 39, pg 49 2nd regiment of
grenville militia, battalion companies(pg 264), 4 engagements, lt-colonol
major Stephen burritt lt -col june 13 (#5 had been sergeant king's rangers,
capt grenville militia 1803, ) along with Daniel as captain feb 19 1812 in
flank co., lieutenant henry burritt 18 feb 1912 to incorp.militia, ,pg 258
militia pensions 1812-15 johnstown district, col willia,
fraser,stone,lt-col lp serwoood, burritt, capt j macdonell, late inc.
militia
so would you say that these 3 Burritt's saw active service or just Stephen due to the pension, i think all 3 did...
