My grandmother (Gertrude Miller Burt, Massachusetts) used to correspond with Viola G. Barrington back in the 1970s and earlier -- the return address was Gananoque. I've found information that Viola was born in 1912, married in 1942 to Walter Glynne Barrington, and died in 1989. She was buried in Oakland Protestant Cemetery in Brockville.

I have information to suggest that Viola had two daughters -- Mary Jane (born c1947) and Karen Ann (born c1950). Of course, it is possible that they are married and not Barrington anymore, but if anyone knows them, or someone who might know them, please let them know someone is looking for them.

We share our Rourke line as my grandmother, Gertrude Jane (Miller) Burt was the daughter of Mary Catherine (Armstrong) Rourke and John Rourke. John Rourke was born in the 1830s in Ireland and immigrated to Ontario with his parents (Margery (?Patton?) Rourke and James Rourke.

I have photos of some of the Rourkes and Armstrongs and would like to exchange genealogical information.
