Hi My name is Glen Street this past Saturday I did a ground search of Daytown Road, Leeds&Grenville, Bastard, Ont now Rideau Lakes Township. The Days Road is about 1/2 mile in length. The Day burial plot now longer exists, as all markers have been moved to a designated Cemetery near Philipsville, Ont. Abel Stevens was a Baptist preacher from Pitsfield, Routland, Vermont and came to Canada as a Loyalist around 1800. He brought with him Loyalist Families from the same area of Vermont. He had a big Family and is written up in the Canada government site of important people of Canada. His Brother Roger Stevens was influential in the building of an iron foundry at Lynhurst, which burned in 1811. The Baptist church should have records of the Delta, Philipsville area. The Days intermarried with the Day's.
