Hello all,

Pretty quiet out there! ;-)
I have just been contacted by a lady looking for the family connections
for some UPDIKES in Kentucky, and thought of our helpful listmembers
right away:

Samuel Updike was born 9 Jul 1862 and died 22 Jul 1941. The death
record lists his father as John Updike, does not give a mother's name,
but states that John was also born in Franklin County, KY.

I know the Franklin Co location sounds familiar to me somehow; can
somebody out there supply some info or clues at least? Couldn't locate
anything in the OpDyck Genealogy, but I am still looking.
