In the Leonardo Andrea manuscript for the Hutto family
I find the following:

ORANGEBURGH CHURCH RECORDS
".....However among the Swiss and Germans of Orangeburgh
close blood kin and even grandparents always acted as
sponsors so states Mr A S Salley, who is an authority on
Orangeburgh history.............."

Baptized Hans Ulrick Roth b. 5 Jan 1754, son of Christian
and Elizabeth Roth....Godparents were Hans Roth and Anna Wife
of Charles Hutto......Likely the Roths were kin to Tshudys.

Jim's note: Andrea made this assumption because Jacob and
Charles Hutto both married Tshudys girls. And Ann Tshuday
served as a godparent.

"Baptized, Christian Roth b. 19 Feb 1756, son of Christian
Sr and Elizabeth Roth...Godparents were Barbara wife of
John Platt, Isaac Hutto and Jacob Roth."

I found in another study a ref to your Courtneys going
to GA (by name)and intended to include it in this posting
but after I went to the Hutto manuscript I couldn't return
to where I found the reference to your Courtneys. Sorry
about that.
