Hello!! Thanks for the reply. Yes, Peter Dickert and family came on the
Cunliff- erroniously named Crimless in Summer;s book on Newberry county.
Michael was his only son with three daugters, Mary Magdelene (m1. Caloff m2
George) 2.Barbara m. Oswalt; 3.Susannah m.1 Wirth m2 Harris. Michael m. Mary
Margaret Seigler, d/o Carrol Seigler and widow of George Cromer- no known
desc. Michael had 5 chldren. His line is
outlined in a book. Book I was published in 1983 and sold out of 200 copies in
about 6 mos. Published Book II in 1992 and it included most of what is know
about the daughters as well. This includes families of
Oswalt/Sniders/Sifley/Kleckley/Sanford/ and many others. Book II is hard
bound-49 p introduction; 230 p family outline-3972 names, 39 p index. Price-
$25.00 postpaid.
Your mention Carolis- could this have been Carrol ?? In booklet showing land
grants of Newberry county- Nicholas Ziglar, 150 A near mouth of Cannons Creek.
He came on Capt Crawfords ship that landed in NC. Settled in forks of Saluda
R. Wife and one child-John Henry about 4 yrs. Then it says that oldest son was
Hans Adam Zigler who was heir and sold to Peter Stockman 16 Sept 1780 (Nby
Deed Bk A, p 1091.).
