Subject: Funeral services for Mrs. Alberta Martin
Date: Wed, 2 Jun 2004 16:37:42 -0500

Dear friends and cousins,

Probably most of you have heard by now that Mrs. Albert Martin has died.
Mrs. Martin was the last known living connection that we had to the civil
war. I am pasting the website to where you can go to get more information
on her services. It just so happens that I am a member of the 15TH AL CO
E re-enacting unit and at least two of our members were direct relatives
of hers. Our unit along with many others across America will join the SCV
on June 11, 2004 to lay Mrs. Martin to rest in Coffee County, Alabama.

It is ironic that the Lord saw fit to take Mrs. Martin home on Memorial
Day 2004. What a fitting departure for a person who has represented our
cause for so long. We have lost a great fighter. I never met her in
person but from listening to my fellow unit members she was a fine lady.
Should you or your units desire to send a memorial then I would implore
you to consider the memorial fund that she had set up. You will see that
on the website.
