Summit is West of Corvallis. on US-20 W/OR-34 W, through Philomath. About
one mile West of Philomath, US-20 becomes the main route, to Newport, and
OR-34 goes Southwest to Waldport.

Stay on US-20 about seven miles, to Blodgett and turn right onto Summit Hwy.
The town of Summit is about five miles from Hwy 20. Proceed through Summit,
about 3/4 mile to a railroad trestle that goes over the road. If you choose
to drive up to the cemetery, the dirt road angles up to the right, just
after going under the trestle and you could park at a clearing part-way up
the hill and walk the rest of the way. If the road looks too scary, there
is a wide, paved turn-out, directly across from the cemetery road and you
can walk from there. The walk is all uphill for about a fourth of a mile.
The caretakers sent me a note this past week saying they had cleared the
cemetery road of fallen trees from the snow and ice storm and the cemetery
is in good shape.

An additional bit of info:
As you near the trestle, there is a road that goes straight ahead, to what
was the Strouts home. My uncle was born in the Strouts house that his
parents were renting at the time, in 1920.
