We are distantly related through indirect lines. My only proven line to you
is
through DAVIS and even that is very indirect. But, there seem to be
connections
between who I associate with my Zebedee SHELTON (arr 1846) and your line.
Going on
the assumption that these settlers traveled in groups, I've been researching
other
names associated with mine trying to find out where Zebedee's parents came
from.
Unfortunately, I haven't had much success. For example, Absalom HEMBREE and
Thomas
M WRIGHT signed Zebedee's land donation claim, but I can make absolutely no
connection. I suspect Zebedee SHELTON'S family may also have come from NC.
I'm
working on one giant puzzle.

Are any of these other names familiar to you? They obviously all went to
the patent
office together.

I folks, I am looking for any information about the Mancil Roundtree CRISP
family who came to OREGON (Yamhill and Polk Co) in 1849. His father,
WILLIAM
MANCIL CRISP was a Major in the War of 1812 and was supposedly promised the
Governorship of the new OREGON Territory when he died suddenly in 1849
(shortly after arrival). He and his wife Hannah WILSON were maried on May
18, 1809 in North Carolina. Most of their married children also came to
Yamhill County. Do any of these surnames ring a bell?

1.Lucinda Wilson Crisp married Elijah MILLICAN in 1827 died in McMinneville
(children married HILL, REYNNOLDS, CLARK, HEMBREE, DIXON, SMITH, BAKER,
EDWARDS.

2. Malvina A Crisp married James L JOHNSON in 1829 (died in ORE?)

3. Margaret Ann Crisp married Thomas A CAMPBELL (died in McMinneville) All
children born in Yamhill C., do not have marriages.

4. Mancil Rountree Crisp married Nancy Jane BEAGLE 1851 in Washington Co.,
ORE . Children married FRENCH, TILTON, WHEELER (in Eastern Ore).

5. Alvina Crisp married Elijah DODSON 1852 in McMinneville (no further
info)

6. Almira J Crisp married John Henry DAVIS Aug 11, 1850 in McMinneville
(no further info)

7. Mary Melvian Crisp m Oliver H Perry BEAGLE April 27, 1852 in Yamhill
Co.,

I have mostly information on the CRISP/BEAGLE lines but would love to
