Hi from the Johnson/Fortune household. Patrick & I are doing fine, but I am writing to everyone to see if anyone has time to send a card to a sick child. The 12 yr. old son of a good friend of mine was admitted to St. Jude Hospital last year with a form of anemia that acts much like Leukemia, affecting his bone marrow. The marrow transplant went well, but surgery left him with a bacterial infection that went into his brain. Little Tony can now only move his eyes to communicate. The doctors are confident that much of his brain function will return. In the meantime, he is very depressed and needs as much encouragement as possible. He delights in receiving letters, pictures and cards. If anyone is a member of a church who could maybe ask the Children's Sunday School to draw pictures for Tony I'd greatly appreciate it.
