On my fathers mothers side,she was the last serviving person to carry the Applegate name,which just leaves my dad and any of his children decendent here on out.The Applegate Valley located in Southern Oregon was named after the Applegate's.Lindsey,Jesse,etc...... know little to nothing 'bout this part of my fathers side,except that there are photo's and such in/at the Jacksonville Museum,in Southern Oregon. I'd once heard that there was some other relations to the Applegates that wrote a book,but we never heard from these people to get any history from my dad...........
