Hi;

The majority of the settlers in that area were Germans-from-Russia with the
odd settler being of English descent. The route that they took was usually
into New York or Halifax and then on in to the Dakotas then up to
Saskatchewan and then back to the Dakotas or Oregon. Alot also retired in
Oregon.
