Apparently you were misinformed. There has never
been a policy of not charging on the Saturday of the
monthly meeting because the Forum is open from
9:30 to 1, at which time it closes for the meeting.
After the meeting the Forum reopens from 3 to 5
for anyone wishing to do further research. You
didn't state whether the person came after the
meeting, and only stayed for 45 minutes rather than
2 hours, or came prior to the meeting and only did
45 minutes of research. Was this a first-time visitor
to the Forum? If so, and it was after the meeting, the
receptionist has the discretion of whether to charge
the $4 visitor fee after giving the visitor a first-time tour.
The only time fees have been waived across-the-board
was during the week of the NGS Conference.
