Please join us for the 3rd Annual GFO Family Heirloom Show! This year we are continuing the tradition of welcoming family treasures. As always, the event will be hosted by Jennifer and Bill Blacke, and will feature the amazing expertise of acclaimed appraiser, Harvey Steele.

The Heirloom Show will take place Saturday, 29 March 2003 at the PGE auditorium located at 1300 S.E. 17th Ave. in Portland (between S.E. Powell Blvd. and S.E. Holgate). Please note: this is a new location! This year, we will have lots of room for guests and heirlooms. For this reason, we are happy to see larger items including furniture... and who knows what else!

We will begin registration at noon, with the show starting at 1:00pm. At the conclusion of the show at 3:00pm, there will be an awards ceremony recognizing show items of particular interest or merit.

The Heirloom Show is a fundraiser for the Forum. For this reason, we ask for a $5.00 donation for each item registered. Harvey Steele will discuss each registered item during the show, giving an approximate appraisal value. Additionally, Harvey will provide a detailed assessment sheet for each registered item including description and further reference sources.

To register: Registration forms will be available at the Forum library, on the GFO website, and in the February Insider. You can also register via email by sending a message to with a full description of your item. Non-returnable photographs are welcomed. The $5.00 registration fee for each item will be due by the beginning of the Heirloom Show on the 29th. THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS MARCH 15th! Please register BEFORE the deadline.

There will be a short walk-in session between 3:10p-3:30p for those missing the registration deadline. The fee for an assessment during this session is $10.00 per item.

For more information, please contact Jennifer Blacke (event coordinator) at or 503-621-6942.

We hope to see you, and your heirlooms, at the show!
