Polly

Do you have a copy of the death certificate of George Washington
Blank, Malheur Co.? He died 16 Mar 1920 #30.
Do you know who his parents were? Not that all death certs give this
information but the cert. may prove to be a help, if nothing more
than to prove it is the wrong person. If this person was married it
should show his wife's name, but the early ones don't always show
this. I think your best bet would be to get this cert if you don't
have it.

You say that " Eva's death of December 23, 1920 where she is listed
as a widow."
With out GW Blanks death cert from Malheur Co. I would NOT discount
him as being the right person...as he died in Mar and she in Dec of
the same year. They could have been traveling through Malheur Co.,
visiting family or friends that you may not know about.

1900 census finds him in Wheeler Co fossil Pct with Eva,
Fen???(daughter), Myrtle, Sadie, Edna

1910 Census finds him in Grant C. John Day Pct, with Eva, Sadie and
Edna. So they moved around like so many did in eastern Oregon trying
to make a living.

1920 Census Heritage Q doesn't have up yet for Oregon, Ancestory
didn't show Eva so she was missed when they indexed or she was missed
when the census taker came by.

The other thought is did he die out of Oregon say in Washington, Idaho, Calif.?
Or did he die prior to 1903 when Oregon first kept records?
What is interesting is neither of them show up in the 1920 census, so
my guess was they were moving about or were missed by the census
taker as they were living in a remote location.
