I have a brother who was stillborn and could not find him in the death
index. When I went to the State Vital Stats Office I learned there is
another index, stillbirths. This is not a public index and I think it
follows the 100 year rule. If you are a sibling or a parent you may
obtain the stillbirth certificates. You will need to fill out an
application providing the birth and death information and stating you
want the stillbirth certificate. You may need to have a supervisor do
it for you as some of the clerks do not know about the special index.
