Hi Janice,
That is what I do too. I use Ancestry.com's census
index a lot. Their census index is a lot better then
Heritage Quest since Ancestry.com's census index
includes everyone and Heritage Quest index only
includes head of household which leaves out millions
of people. I still only use Ancestry index as a last
resort when I can't find someone by head of house
which you usually can.
I can't stand Ancestry.com's census images. They
are horrible compared to Heritage Quest census images.
You do not have to subscribe to Ancestry.com's census
subscription to access their census index. You only
need to have a basic subscription to Ancestry in order
to access their census indexes. Maybe you already knew
that though?
