Subject: [GFO] Exhibits at the Fall Seminar and Genealogy Fair

Do you remember the great genealogy fairs at Parkrose High School? I do, and I sure miss them. Remember the chances you had to talk to representatives from societies, purchase their publications, and find out how you could join?

This fall, a taste of the past will return. Our Fall Seminar on Saturday, October 6th, will include exhibit tables and representatives from several groups in the region. They include the following:

Willamette Valley Genealogical Society
Columbia Gorge Genealogical Society
Oregon Genealogical Society
Germans from Russia, Oregon Chapter
Scandinavian Genealogical Society
Daughters of the American Revolution, Wahkeena Chapter and Portland Chapter
Trish Barker, an independent consultant with Heritage Makers (for creating your own story books, cards, calendars, etc.)

Of course, we will also have...
a room full of books and supplies to browse and buy from Heritage Creations Bookstore,
a table full of the publications of the Genealogical Forum of Oregon available for purchase,
a silent auction full of great items, and much more.

Would you like to reserve an exhibit table for your society or business? There's still a little time to request one. The tables are 2x5 feet with two chairs provided per table for the representatives. They will be located in the same room as the seminar speaker around the periphery, so you'll be able to see and hear his presentations. The cost to reserve a table is $50. This will include admission for two representatives. Lunch is an additional $10 each, and it must be purchased by Sept. 26th.
