I can't help you with your Custer/Kusters question except to say
that you might consult this book for ideas:

_The Descendants of Paulus and Gertrude Kusters..._, Jean M. White,
editor; The Castor Association of America, 1991.

I remember when I first saw "Eunike" in this will abstract. I
thought it was yet another variation in spelling of the name
which the Dutch would spell Anneke or Anneken.

I might note that she also appears as a witness on the marriage
certificate of Henry Kunders and Catharine Strepers (1710).
This has been transcribed in the Publications of the Genealogical
Society of PA vol II pp 66-67. There she is shown following her
husband, "Cunraed Cunraeds", as "Enneke Kunrads" -- which is
pretty close to Anneke.

And then it dawned on me. I bet Aret's will really says
"Ennike" and somewhere along the line, someone misread the
first n as a u. And thus created Eunike.

Regards,
Howard
