Subject: [ORIGINAL-13] THE OPDENGRAEFF ANCESTRY IN THE CANTICLE OF CLEVES
Date: Fri, 8 Jun 2001 00:30:22 -0400

Dear Krefeld Cousins---Greetings from Philadelphia.

1. Hermen op den Graeff (1585--1642), the Mennonite Lord Bishop of Krefeld and Signer (1632) of the Confession of Dordrecht, is portrayed as Generation 127 (in our reconstructed version) of the CANTICLE OF CLEVES---an alleged recitation of the genealogy of the house of Cleves from the Garden of Eden to the death in A.D. 1609 of the last duke of Cleves of the de la Marck branch of the Lohengrin house of Altena---JOHANN WILHELM VON KLEVE (1562--1609).

2. How the alleged CANTICLE OF CLEVES relates to the RIDDLE OF THE CANTING HERALDRY on the Op den Graff Windows of Krefeld (A.D.1630) is part of our ongoing investigation of some 38 years (1963--2001).

3. Due to our linguistic limitations we claim no credentials for scholarship---but we believe the original format and contents of the alleged CANTICLE OF CLEVES originated either as a product of the house of Julich--Cleves--Berg at the Court of Dusseldorf---or as an explanation for the Mystery concerning the origin of Hermen zu Graff of Krefeld (1605) and his identity as Hermen op den Graaf van de Aldekerk (1585--1642) of the Scheuten manuscripts and the equation of this personage with one Arminius Comiti of Cologne (Comiti, Comis, Comes) or one Armen de la Comte (Compte) connected with research into the alleged Tudor--Dudley--Bacon--Shakespeare mystery---an analogy or parable involving Anne of Cleves (the 1540 queen of England), her stepdaughter Elizabeth Tudor (the 1558 virgin queen of England), and the Nun of the Cloister of Aldekerk (an alleged 1584 wife of her posthumous grandnephew Johann Wilhelm von Kleve).

4. We share the raw data of this research as an ATTACHMENT (a document printout of some 24 pages) in the form of its June 2001 Update---complete with our own questions and speculations and commentaries. Your job will be to sort out the gold from the straw---and to retrieve the lost documentation and evidence---and to solve the mystery of our Krefeld family history as an extended family in migration from one continent to another.

5. Thank you for your interest in this quest.

Sincerely your Krefeld cousin---Glenn Wayne Miller /// ///
