Hello list, I am searching for an ancestor by the name of OEHLRICH, ULRICH, or DELRICH (I cannot make out the spelling) who lived in Germantown PA. in 1800 -1810. Their grandson, Robert Allen(1804-1874) wrote that they lived in "a Brownstone on Chestnut near Walnut (or Walnut near Chestnut)" and that their daughter, his mother, and his father and an uncle were all " lost at sea " when he was quite young and his grandmother placed him in a Catholic childrens home, he called it a "Monastery". Can anyone on this list tell me where I might find help with this genealogical puzzle? Thanks, Ellie in NC
