I, after so many years have discovfered that my father, named Lawrence John Shumaker by his mother and father, but never having had any type of birth record, chose to change his name to the name given all oldest sons, or first born for 6 generations, so used Jacob. I have strong reason to believe my dad logged near Klamath Falls in the early years of the nineteen fiftys. At the time he would have been in his mid fortys. He would have been bumping and possibly falling. I wonder if someone in the KF area could look in the city directory and see if his name appeared thereon. He may have remarried. Thank you.He died in 1973 at age 67.It is entirely possible that he remarried and had children by an other wife. For the last seven years before his death he was living in and around Spokane, WA. Thank you.
