Sandy:
Thank you for your reply. I do have the information on Old Sheepy in the 1880
census and he was born on Sheepy creek in Siskiyou County, near the Fairchild
ranch. Old Sheepy was a leader in the Hot creek band.Franklin Norris Skeen
married Sheepy's daughter Kitty/Kate, They lived what is called Lairds Landing
now. My other Skeen's lived in Yreka in the late 1880's and later my Dolly
Ball Skeen lived at Sams Neck out of Yreka. William and Dave lived on the Klamath
reservation. My research now is that I received some information from the
Archives and I am trying to tie in the families. It does get a bit confusing.
Since records before 1872 is hard to prove and I have found that some of the
families changed their white names a couple times, it does get a bit confusing
putting the pieces together. I believe that my Jackson line married into the
Wright line but cannot find my notes on this. I am interested in Thomas Jefferson
information also. Any leads is very much appreciated and look forward to
hearing from you. Thanks
Gerry
