Sandy,
I did send an email to the newspaper about a week ago simply at that point
inquiring if they had the obituaries from a few years past. So far I have
had no response. Yesterday, Saturday, we happened to go to Klamath. I really
did not know we were going there at all as it was sort of a "get out of
Dodge" day for us, and I did not take my information with me. While there,
however, I happened to see the library and stopped there. They have the
older obituaries there on microfilm. I left the name of the person I was
wanting an obituary for, my name, address, and email address and a small
amount of money to cover the cost and postage. Unfortunately, their printer
to the microfilm reader is down now, but as soon as it is operating again
they can print things out. They have email, but said it is not on the
internet and the lady did not know why. She said she would email me to get
the particulars for the obituary I wanted, and I will then send her the
particulars. I am sure that a person could write to them snail mail and do
the same thing, I just happened to be there. The address for the library is
on the Klamath County OR USGENWEB page which I do not happen to have in
front of me or I would place here.

I hope this helps others. The lady at the library was very nice and helpful.
Their charges for copies are 10 cents per page and postage, so I am sure a
person could send a return envelope and a small amount of change and would
get a response. I told her if per chance the obit was not available by all
means just keep the small amount of money I left with her.

Barbara

they can help. Could you post to the list, how you get copies of obits from
their archives? It might help others in the future.
