Taps sounded for another patriarch of the Klamath Indian tribe last night
when Johnnie George, aged
72, died at this home in Beatty. Infirmities arising from old age brought on
the fatal illness.
Tomorrow afternoon in the Beatty Church, Indians from all corners of the
reservation will gather to pay their last respects to the memory of the aged
redskin.
Interment will be in Chief Schonchin's Cemetery.
George is survived by a brother, Usey George.
