Alfred D. McNair, Sr., 89, died in Lakeview, May 13, 1972. He is survived
by his wife, Elsie of Lakeview; sons, Vernon of Beatty; Calvin, Norman, Jim
and Leonard of Lakeview; daughters, Ruby Husky of Klamath Falls; Jeannette
Young and Sadie Fisher of Lakeview. Funeral services will be held Wednesday,
May 17, at 2 p.m., at the Trinity Baptist Church, Lakeview. Burial will be
in the Chief Schonchin Cemetery, near Sprague River. Ousley-Osterman
directing.

Lakeview, Oregon
Alfred David McNair, Sr., 89, died Saturday in Lakeview where he had
resided for several years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the
Trinity Baptist Church in Lakeview with burial in the Chief Schonchin
Cemetery near Sprague River. The Reverend Vance Culpepper will officiate and
Ousley-Osterman Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. McNair was born January 10, 1883, in Wilderville and on May 23, 1929,
was married to Elsie Watson in Klamath Falls. She survives in Lakeview. Also
surviving are five sons, Vernon of Beatty; Calvin, Norman, Jim and Leonard
of Lakeview; three daughters, Jeanette Young of Lakeview; Ruby Huskey of
Klamath Falls; and Sadie Fisher of Lakeview; 20 grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
The deceased was owner of a cattle ranch at Sprague River for many years.
In 1954 he moved to Lakeview to work in the mills for a short time before he
retired.
Pallbearers will be J. Bidwell of Klamath Falls; Dally Givans of Fort
Bidwell; Marvin Bewley, Charley Huskey, Melvin Watson and Gordon Friday of
Lakeview.
