Dear Laura, Thank you so much for all the information! I'm so glad that you included the Civil War Pension Index because now I know for certain that Carlton A. Peabody was Edith Garrison's first husband. I knew that John Wood was Edith's second husband, and to see her listed as widow Edith G. Peabody and Edith G. Wood confirms that I have the right person. Edith is a member of my Hoskinson family through her mother. I've been researching this family for the past four months and you've just added another piece to the puzzle. Thank you again.
