Hi Di, just to put your mind at rest! You have done nothing wrong.
This list is often quiet, but reassuringly bursts into life from time to
time. Like all lists it is subject to the subscribers being on holiday
or busy from time to time!

I suspect a lot of the subscribers, like myself, watch the contributions
as and when they appear, only replying to those which are directly
relevant. I suppose also, like me, they reply to the originator
'off'-list. Perhaps I should reply 'on'-list to keep to the spirit of
the board! My fault, apologies!

I also save all correspondence on this board to look at more carefully
when I have that all too elusive time to do it justice.

I am currently subscribed to only three lists and this is by far the
quietest. I like to think of it as a bit of a select group of
individuals!!!! So do not worry and do not let it stop you posting your
observations or interests. Also worth noting is that if the first time
you get no reply, leave it a while and post it again - people come on
and off list all the time, new members etc and they may not have been
watching the first time you posted. I was quite amazed the first time I
saw 'reposting of interests' which seems to be an annual event! However
the logic of it is just perfect.

So don't worry!

my requests for information re the Groats and the Malcolmsons two weeks

I now receive nothing from the site. Have I done something wrong?
I would like to receive the mail as you can all understand there are
lots of
other names that have cropped up through my families and I would be
interested to receive snippets about these names. HELP
