Dear Elaine

I have in my extended family tree what I believe is your John Wilson,
son of John Wilson and his wife Isabella Mills, who married on 25
December 1856 Grace Cantley, daughter of Nathaniel Cantley (dead before
1855) and Margaret Moar (dead before 1880).

John was, according to Census returns, born about 1833 and died after
1907. Grace Cantley was born about 1835 and died 6 February 1880 at
North Side, Walls, Orkney. I haven't got as far as checking the Old
Parish Records for these births.

John and Grace appear to have had had nine children between about 1858
and 1880. One, Ann Grace Wilson, born 24 November 1875, married on 21
February 1907 George Baikie, son of James Baikie and Catherine
Nicholson. Ann and George had at least two children - Maria Wilson
Baikie (who married James William Simpson) and James George Baikie.

The one I am after is one of the sons of John Wilson married to Isabella

Mills

His brother was Isaac Wilson from Walls who is my line
