Arthur - At 1 Young Street, Kirkwall, on the 24th Feb., Thomas Greenaway
Arthur, aged 75 years.
Further information from Civil Registrations - Thomas Greenaway ARTHUR,
A Navy Pensioner, died at 7:10pm son of John ARTHUR, Watchman in a
Government Dock Yard, deceased and Nancy ARTHUR ms MACKREN. Cause of
Death was Hypertrophy of Prostate and Cystitis, 2m. Informant was George
T. ARTHUR, son of 15 Bridge Street, Kirkwall.


Bichan - At Pool, Deerness, Orkney, on the 23rd Feb., Elizabeth Ritch,
wife of James Bichan, sen., aged 76 (?) years.
Further information from Civil Registrations - Betsy BICHAN, 76y,
married to James BICHAN, Farmer, died 1pm of Valvular Disease of Heart,
several years and Dropsy. Daughter of Robert RITCH, Farmer, deceased
and Margaret RITCH ms FINLAYSON, deceased. Informant was William
BICHAN, son.


Corrigall - Scuan, Corston, Harray, Orkney, on the 7th March, Margaret
Smith, widow of the late William Corrigall, aged 69 years.

seen] 8am of Bronchitis. Daughter of James SMITH, Woolen Weaver,

Davidson - At Ingrew, St Andrew's, Orkney, on the 6th March, John
Davidson, aged 97 years.

Lawson, the beloved wife of Peter Florence, aged 56 years.

Foulis - At Victoria Street, Kirkwall, on the 10th Feb., Margaret Muir,
relict of the late Benjamin Foulis, master mariner, aged 77 years.

Vessel in the Brain Causing Paralysis. Parents were David MUIR, General

Garrioch, aged 59 years.
