TOMI COCHRAN HYMES

Tomi Maureen Cochran Hymes, 43, died at her home in Wailuku, Hawaii on February 4, 1996, after a bout with cancer.

She was born May 1, 1953 in Twin Falls, Idaho, and moved with her family to Waldport (Lincoln Co.) in 1956. Twelve years ago, she married James Hymes, also of Waldport, in Hwaii.

She is survived by her parents, Tom and Omi Cochran of Waldport; sisters Colleen Nickerson of Waldport, Virginia Gerrietz of Willamina and Patrice Baptist of Canyon County, California; daughters Misty of Kona, Hawaii and Yahni of Chico, California; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

She was buried at sea at a ceremony off Hawaiian shores.

A memorial Mass and following refreshment for family and friends will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Waldport.
