Sorry it took so long, but I could not remember who did the lookup for me in
the 1895 census.

It was the Archives, here is their inventory on census':

Oregon State Archives:
Census [Enumeration of the Inhabitants and Industrial Products of Marion
County-with index], 1895 (3 volumes, 1 reel of
microfilm);
Census [Enumeration of the Inhabitants and Military Enrollment of Marion
County-with index], 1905 (2 volumes, 1 reel of
microfilm);
Census Records [Abstract of Assessment and Census], 1865 (1 volume);
Census Records [City of Aumsville], 1905 (.05 cu.ft.).

They do charge, but very little. If they don't find anything they don't
charge at all.
