I found 3 sites with the WALKER name in the Salem/Silverton area. My gr gr
grandparents Samuel & Jemima Walker came in 1844, had DLC#27 which is now in
city limits of Salem and the State Fairgrounds is on part of it. Their
house was situated along the Claggett Creek according to the old survey map. .

I would also like to know if there is any source for the origins of these
places. I have been told that there were 3 separate and distinct Walker
families in early Oregon Terr. so cannot really be sure that these were named
for my family, altho it is the approximate area.
