LEWISVILLE is southwest of and halfway between Falls City and Monmouth.
This is my HANDY DANDY-USGS MAPPING GUIDE, it gives you two maps of ANY
FEATURE you put in, post office, school, ridge, creeks, it is wonderful. I'd
recommend putting all your SURNAMES in here, you never know what you will
find.
Put name in FEATURE, add STATE, choose QUERY,
then choose SHOW FEATURE LOCATION, to see the maps.

Laura, Your Lewis family was in Polk County? Is Lewisville near Monmouth?
Do
you know the Lewis daughter's name or her parents? I am researching a Lewis
family, living in Lewis* (either burg or ville) in Marion County near
Silverton. My Lewis' are Samuel and America, they had at least one daughter
and
her name was Sarah Ella Lewis. If it is not the same family there is a
great
possiblity that they are related. Could her father have been William or
John?
William had a DLC in Polk County.
