the MOORE is AGNES....NOTE the above JAMES DICKERSON is AGNES uncle.
AGNES MOORE she was born 1868-70. from TENNESSEE. a MARLENE is graciouly
helping me for the FOSSIL area. (NOTE!!! ANYONE with an AGNES PLEASE
READ!! we don't know who she married in TN.)
she wrote to her brother & sister,my aunt wrote some.has any one old
letters from the 20s-30s.here are 2 town names CUMBERLAND GAP,TENN &
TAZEWELL,TENN. her brother we know she wrote was JOHN MOORE,
sister LIZZIE or LIZZY or ELIZABETH MOORE TOWNSLEY.
Agnes was married in CLAIBORNE County,TN. best i can determine.no names
known,she had 2 kids a boy & girl.
she divorced as it was said her hubby was in bad trouble with the
law.she left walking with the kids for OREGON.i think in the mid to late
1890s.she made it.but refused to say what became of the kids.she took
that to her grave in the late 1920s--30s.i sort of think she may have
left the kids with family.and RAY Co.is sort of on the way to OREGON?.In
OREGON she married we are
told a HUGHES,he was a farmer & barber.we have
no proof she married a HUGHES/HUGHS?.if someone
has an AGNES from TENN check your files for
MOORE as her maiden name. she may have lived in
MARION & CLAKAMAS County.no way to know. i have a photo of AGNES sister
LIZZIE on a 1 photo page if anyone would like to look at it.
