I'm looking for my grandmother Lizzy Beaty. Her full name was either
Margaret Laura Elizabeth Beaty or Mary Laura Elizabeth Beaty. She was born
in 1864 and married later in Mecklenburg County, NC (Charlotte). This gives
me reason to think she lived in this area. She was orphaned around
1867/1868. I have searched census records and just about everything without
finding her. Does anyone know of an orphanage in or around this area of the
country. Thanks for your reply.
