My Grandmother was named Bertha Mae Chamlee but the family sometimes spelled
it Shamley/Shamlee. Her sisters were Fanny and Olive. Olive was adopted by a
Liston family. I know that my grandmother was living in clay co in 1922 as
she married my grandfather there. But I have never found her in that census.
Would Grandmother be listed in the Orphanage census if she was "farmed out"?
I have Olive in Lubbock Texas in 1920 & 1930 with the Liston family.
Again any help is appreciated much
Paula
