I think the following was Leslie, son of Orpha and Harley GRIFFIN.

1930 census Apr 8 Precinct 53, Umatilla, OR pg 1A dw7 fam8
Leslie E GRIFFIN rents$30; 34 yr b 1895 MI MI MI teacher at-SDA school married at age 21
Mabel E wife 27 b 1892 OR IN WI teacher at SDA school married at 24
Lyle B son 11 b 1918 OR MI OR ---end---

Leslie's brothers were Myrle, Jessie, Henry and Claude. His sisters were Laura [Mrs OLSON], Marvel [Mrs BATTY or BETTY?] and Eula [Mrs. NETTIE?].

His mother died 30 Aug 1943 in San Diego, Calif. Her death notice Sept 1, 1943 pg. 8B in the San Diego newspaper reads:
Griffin, Orpha E. National City, August 30. Age 66. Wife of Harley J. Griffin mother of Mrs. Laura A. OLSON, Mrs. Marvel BATTY (or BETTY), Mrs. Eula NETTIE, Lester, Henry and Claude Griffin. Services at the Dawson Funeral Home Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
