Two of my gr grandmother's brothers married Hammack sisters in Union Co. OR.

John J. Belden, b 1861 in IL (DeKalb or La Salle Co), d 1944 in La Grande.
He married Helena Jane Hammack (1866-1944), daughter of Thomas M & Alemeda
Nida Hammack. John's brother Alexander married Helena's sister Alice
Hammack in Union Co. in 1890. I don't know what the connection, if any,
might be. These families lived in Summerville & later in La Grande. John &
Alexander were sons of Alexander Jackson Belden & Nancy Elizabeth Davey,
native New Yorkers who eventually made their way to Union Co. about 1888.
