Lyyne-
Just found this among family papers- Little Alva is the dau of Frank
Redman and Tarrasa. I can't read a few words on the last verse. Do
you know if this verse is on the tombstone, by any chance, in Paradise
Cemetery?
Tami
obituary- likely the "Wallowa Chieftain" - Feb 1903-
Death of Little Alva.
Alva, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Redman, was born August
8, 1902 and died February 26, 1903, at the tender age of 6 months and
18 days.
Ervsipelas caused the little one's death. She died at the home of
her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Barnes, of Paradise and was
buried in the Paradise Cemetery. Rev. Henry Martin conducting the
services.
Another flower is gathered

Another flower (unreadable)

ervsipelas looks like a bacteria from swine. I have seen articles of
vaccinating swine from ervsipleas. google search did not reveal much.

Hi Tami,
This might not be of any use to you, but I am going to "throw it out
there anyway".
I have a TARRASA JANE BARNES, born July 28, 1882, in Cove, Union Co.,
OR. Parents are GEORGE BARNES and MARY L. LLOYD. All three of these,
along
with quite a few other, Barnes are buried in the Paradise Cemetery, not far
from Flora, in Wallowa Co.
Tarrasa Jane Barnes married into my Redman family - Frank Russell
Redman in 1912, Wallowa Co.
