In the trunk I found two itsy scraps of paper:

Marriage License Issued - A marriage license was issued by the county clerk
yesterday to Philip L. Sorahan, Sr., 40, Dalles tailor and Nettie Nelson,
legal, also of The Dalles.

April 27, 1928: Local Weddings - Miss Janette Mae Nelson and Philip
Sorahan, the later of Susanville, Claif., were united in marriage at the
Methodist parsonage last Friday evening. Rev. Charles A. Edwards
officiating. Miss Nelson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Nelson of
this city. Immediately following the ceremony the young couple left on a
honeymoon trip to Spokane. Upon their return they will make their home in
The Dalles. A number of friends and relatives were present at the wedding.
